Caity Simmers is making waves in the surfing world with her talents in the water. There hasn’t been this much hype around a female surfer since Steph, Tyler or even Carissa. And her new surf film shows why she’s been receiving the adulation. Cos Caity’s surfing is nothing short of brilliant.
Toasted follows Simmers and her buddies shredding at a wide array of breaks around the world. The flick features fellow gen-z surf freaks Molly Picklum, Sierra Kerr and a collection of other high-level surfers such as Ian Crane and Mikey February even making cameos. Her younger brother Timo is seen ripping as well.
Caity’s not only creative on open faces, she’s quite the talent out of the water too. The 17-year-old also directed the film under her production company Toasted Media. The Californian rookie’s hacks are going to be a nightmare for her competitors on tour this year. Imagine her style on a 4-6 foot clean Bells wall? Sheesh.
My favourite part of the flick are the sessions’ at that unknown Mexican right-hand point. That spot’s the closest you’ll get to surfing heaven in my eyes.
Enjoy!
