If you didn’t make it to the sold-out 50-year anniversary tour of ‘Morning of The Earth’, you haven’t missed out. There’s a way to watch the fully re-mastered 50th anniversary edition of MOTE at your local cinema, or a suitable screening venue – that might be a surf-shop, hall, cafe or club. It all comes down to securing the numbers in your neck of the woods. Our social media commentary suggests that there are still legions of cult, MOTE fans out there that couldn’t make the big-city screenings and are eager to see the film.
A company called FanForce uses the power of social media to get the films you want to see into local venues. Fanforce brings together audiences, filmmakers, distributors and venue owners to make it simple and easy to screen great films.
IN SIMPLE TERMS, IT GOES LIKE THIS:
01. You pick a film (Morning of the Earth) from the FanForce library, set a day, time & preferred cinema or venue.
02. You decide on the best way to promote your screening – from simple, cost-effective options to more complex solutions for multiple screenings. Or just promote it yourself using our Free Tools.
03. You invite people to the screening. If enough tickets are reserved the screening goes ahead (that makes it cost-effective for Fan Force). If it doesn’t get the numbers required, the host can try again later, but no one loses any money.
04. Fan Force organises the event with the cinema. All everyone has to do is turn up.
