As surfing continues to grow as a sport and at times an attention-seeking contest due to social media- The topic of style reminds us that our beloved hobby can also be considered an art-form.
The clip above is part of Vissla’s new content series, which aims to gain more understanding about this lure we have with a surfers approach to a wave. Vissla chatted with the top-echelon of surfers who exemplify this artistry including Gerry Lopez, Craig Anderson and Brad Gerlach- where they express what style means to them. It’s interesting to hear these opinions while questioning your preferences which subsequently makes you ponder what style is. It’s not easy to conceptualise, even for these greats. However, it’s a fun topic to think and talk about.
