Watch: Tim Bonython Chases Swell To Irish Slab

Nazare wasn’t doing it for Tim, so he boarded a flight to Mullaghmore.

Reading Time: 1 minute

Surfing’s most well-known big-wave videographer Tim Bonython spent a few months on a lengthy workcation in Europe last year. Tim Spent most of his time shooting in Portugal at the big-wave surfing mecca. In one of Nazare’s flat spells, Tim decided to take the two and a half hour flight to Ireland. I’m sure the footage that Nathan Florence and the Irish big-wave crew were getting had a role in luring him to the Emerald Isle. Nothing better for productivity than some healthy competition. The above clip is Tim’s experience at Mullaghmore, which is continuing to establish Ireland as a big-wave nation to be respected.

Enjoy!

How about that boog ride at the 4:07 minute mark? Ridiculous.
