WATCH: The Superbank cheers up MYC victims

Yes, another pumping Superbank session.

Reading Time: 1 minute

The Mid-Year Cut has taken place, with those above the cut line off to Kelly Slater’s wave pool in Lemoore, while those below are sent to Australia’s closest thing- the Superbank. The world-class point break has been working overtime for the last two weeks, delivering a special run of waves. This past weekend, however, looked to be the swell’s final push before a bit of a flat spell.

Which is unfortunate as the waiting period for the Challenger Series event at Snapper kicks off this Saturday, and the waves aren’t looking promising. A bunch of the pros were in town early to warm up and got completely shacked out of their minds.

How about Kolohe Andino’s 100-metre-plus tube run over the weekend(video below)? Maybe the cut wasn’t the worse thing for him? Kolohe won’t forget that vision for a long time.
