Nathan’s one of the busiest people in surfing media. He’s a machine when it comes to producing content. The Hawaiian is always on the move, travelling to the sketchiest waves all over the planet.

This week he found himself in Scotland attempting to surf one of the ugliest-looking slabs he’s filmed at so far. There was nothing pretty about this wave, and it featured a dangerous paddle-out that would scare most people away.

It didn’t seem like Nate knew what he was doing at the start of this sketchy paddle-out, and it could have gone south quickly. However, his girlfriend behind the camera was clearly not worried, uncontrollably laughing for a couple of minutes while he struggled paddling out. Nathan being built differently would make it out the back and find himself inside a few overhead tubes.

Braveheart would be proud of you Nate for embodying his warrior mindset.

Just like the Scottish rebel said “Every man dies, but not every man lives.”

And the YouTube views are continuing to soar from the slab hunter’s heroics.
