If there’s any place on the planet that might test the ridiculous energy levels of Italo Ferreira, it has to be the North Shore. Multiple sessions in big surf, throttling himself in the Keiki shore break, coaching sessions with Jamie O’Brien and Shane Dorian, and trying to test a 21 board quiver shaped by Timmy Patterson to find the right blades to defend his World Title. It makes us want to take a snooze just watching.

But the 26-year-old takes it all in his stride and seems to relish the opportunity to make the most of the life his talent has blessed him with.
