If you could teleport anywhere during the last swell, would you choose Chopes or Nias? I know I’d be choosing Nias. Perfectly sized, glassy, funnelling tubes with a small crew on my forehand trumps enormous, deathly mountains like those tamed at ‘The End of The Road’ by the world’s most psychotic chargers. The session at Nias was that good; it even had the local, Jambuare Lodge owner calling it one of the best surfs in his life. Hit play on the session, which was shot entirely from the sky, giving us a pretty cool insight into the wave and the dynamics in the lineup.
