Matt George will be hosting the put-up-or-shut-up experiment on his Schooner, the Mutiara Laut, “the pearl of the sea”.
“It’s happening. We challenged any surfer out there to prove that they have what it takes to win. Sometime in June, swell depending, we will be holding a very special surfing experiment designed to push the boundaries of modern performance. We will be sailing for G-land on the schooner MUTIARA LAUT and we will be inpiring the best surfing in the world. This is something very different. Very important. Show up if you dare.
Here is how it works:
1. Ten surfers, first come first serve, will arrive ready to surf. We sail at dusk on the Mutiara Laut for the morning arrival at G-land. The surf will be pumping. Guaranteed.
2. Each surfer will place AUS200 dollars into a ceremonial bowl. Put up or shut up.
3. Two groups of five surfers will each have 90 minutes to get it on. Freesurfing at its best.
4. Their will be no point system.
5. There will only be one judge who will be taking down notes, recording his impressions, not awarding points.
6. At the end of both sessions the judge will decide who was the most impressive surfer of all.
7. That surfer will be declared the winner.
8. On board the Mutiara Laut on the way home, that surfer will be awarded the ceremonial bowl and the AUS3000 dollars it carries. Winner take all. Then the party begins

All surfers get five star service, all the beer they can drink and all the great food they can eat for the entire two day experience aboard the magnificent Mutiara Laut.
This experiment will be featured in all international surfing publications, and all websites. A FUEL TV crew will be on hand to make a feature documentary on the entire experience. International media coverage is guaranteed to all surfers. Surftime magazine guarantees that the winner will be featured on the cover.
