The bar was raised once again on January 15th at Jaws. Over the weekend our social media feed was abuzz with a stream of images straight outta Maui. Diminutive carpenter Aaron Gold from Haleiwa paddled into arguably one of the biggest waves in history at the spot (see 3:20) and every big wave surfer worth their salt pushed themselves to the limit. It begs the question, how much further can big wave surfing go? Paddling into 80 foot waves is absolutely nuts. As the cohort push themselves further and further into the unknown we can only predict that someone will crack the 100 foot wave with the sheer will of desire!
