He is the 16-year-old wunderkind who inspired a fierce bidding war between Billabong, Quiksilver and Volcom at the beginning of the year. Ultimately it was Billabong who won the bragging rights for the blonde-mopped prodigy who is blessed with flawless style and otherworldly tube riding skill.
At West Australian staples like The Box and Gnaraloo Jack Robinson is already considered one of the best, but recently he added Teahupoo to his impressive portfolio of waves conquered. When Jack received notification that he would be receiving a wildcard into the trials of the Billabong Pro Teahupoo his immediate response was to hunt down a swell at Chopes and hurl himself into a few slabbing caves in preparation for the event. Below is a sample of Jack’s first Teahupoo pits. Wouldn’t you just love to see the little tube wizard win the trials and make it to the main event?
