After being released by Quiksilver not too long ago, it seems that New York ripper Balaram Stack has found a new sticker to place on the nose of his board The Volcom Stone.
The East Coaster¹s performances at big Pipe over the last few seasons obviously haven’t gone unnoticed. No doubt someone important was watching from the front yard of the Volcom house. Congrats Balaram.

Tuesday May 7th, 2013 – Costa Mesa, CA – Volcom would like to send out a big ‘welcome aboard!’ to New York’s own, Balaram Stack.
Growing up in Point Lookout, NY, he’s what some consider to be the single greatest surfer to ever come from the tri-state area. Balaram has always been considered a friend of Volcom since he was a youngster competing in the VQS Jellyfish events in the New York area. He’s come a long way since then and has made quite a name for himself over the years by constantly appearing in magazine’s and videos, doing well in contests and absolutely charging in Hawaii. Whatever it is he’s doing, Balaram shreds and we are proud to have him join the Volcom Family! “So happy to have landed in the right family. Can’t wait for the years to come.
“Balaram Balaram is the cornerstone of modern day NY surfing. We are proud to hear of his new relationship with Volcom, and with their support we are confident that he will continue to fly the NY flag across the globe.” – Nellie (Unsound Surf, Long Beach, NY)
“We are so excited to join forces with Balaram. Over the years, we have watched him grow up and become an incredible surfer and an amazing person. Balaram is a perfect fit for Volcom and we are looking forward to the future.” – Brad Dougherty (Volcom VP of Surfing)
