Harley Walters has documented his experiences on an array of quirky and rare surfboards from across history. Riding boards such as Taj Burrow’s 20-year-old Webber that Taj rode during the wave pool section of ‘Fair Bits’ and big wave surfer Justen Allports’ first ever board.
Harley and his brother Dakoda have used the pandemic to inject some fun into their surfing, and riding an eclectic mix of surf crafts from the past 50 odd years, has given them a unique and rounded approach to wave riding.
In this edit, the brothers take to a 35-year-old manta-ray shaped Greg Webber design. We get some surfing, an explanation of Greg Webber’s shape, and a (pretty surprising) volume test.
Keep your eyes out for the Walter bros. in the next issue of Tracks.
