Novelty waves deliver a peculiar kind of joy because often you feel as though you are scoring a ride where you really shouldn’t. The Tweed River bar is one of those spots that turns on every now and again and actually supplies some enticing rock-wall wedges, albeit with a distinctly brown tinge. If you can avoid the sharks, which you definitely can’t see, the floating debris and the occasional craft that has broken anchor then the little brown barrels actually look mighty fun.
