On 17 May Tracks will be competing in the SurfAid Cup Bondi and raising funds for SurfAid. When you support our fundraising you give people in remote communities connected to us through surfing a hand up, rather than a handout.
The first SurfAid Cup was held in Manly in 2011 and the event series has now grown globally to include six events in Australia and the US.
During this year’s event, teams of four surfers will be joined a pro of their choosing from an impressive line-up as they battle it out for two awards: Fundraising champions and surfing champions.
Previous editions of the comp have been supported by the likes of Tom Carroll, Shane Dorian, Occy, Laura Enever, Taj Burrow and more.
In a relay style event, each surfer is to catch two waves before returning to tag their team mate in.
SurfAid’s geographical focus is on the heartlands of surfing where few visitors but surfers go, making their work unique. They specialise in working in very isolated villages where the maternal and child mortality rates are some of the highest in the world.
With your support, we can give families the best chance of getting ahead by providing access to healthcare, clean water and sanitation and improved nutrition.
Anyone who donates to the Tracks team will be entered into a draw to win a framed Tracks cover of their choice worth $200.
