Title: Greenbush II
Artist: Ben Budgen
One of the most perfect days of waves I’ve ever witnessed at Greenbush in the Mentawai Islands. I wanted to get a pulled back view of the whole scene, so I shot this from the top of our boat, the Mangalui Ndulu. That’s Chippa Wilson deep in the hole, as the pack out the back decides who wants the next one.
Ben enjoyed a brief stint as a competitive junior surfer before he answered the call of his creative instincts and took on a job with Tracks as the photo editor in the heady days of the early 2000s. After more than 15 years of rolling with the ebb and flow of Tracks, Ben, who holds degrees in both photography and design, now oversees the look and feel of the Tracks brand as Creative Director. Whether it’s a cover-shot photo, an elegant mag font or a website wireframe, the discerning eye of Ben Bugden is behind what you see. Ben is also an accomplished photographer with his own distinctive take on the surf photo genre. His shots have appeared on the cover of Tracks and his images regularly feature in the magazine. These days Ben still rips but prefers to do his surfing on a diverse array of craft. Between work, and surf sessions he finds solace in walking the dog.

The Framing Process
Your Print will be expertly framed with your choice of a sustainable timber frame. Then it will be finished with lightweight, optically clear, museum grade acrylic which offers 95% protection against UV rays. It will undergo one final inspection, before being securely packed for shipping. If your print is not being framed, it will be carefully rolled with cotton interleave and placed into a cylinder for delivery.
TIMBER FRAMES
We have selected three framing options that we believe complement the images perfectly and allow them to really stand out. With both white, black and Tassie oak options, our quality framing suits a range of settings and styles. We do not use basic framing glass, instead, we use high-quality acrylic. This acrylic is lightweight, protects against 99% of UV rays and is shatterproof.
ACRYLIC FACE MOUNT
Acrylic face mounting is one of the most impressive and striking ways to display your photographic print. Your print is mounted behind acrylic and the back is covered with specially treated aluminium. This process will completely protect your image from front to back. Your image is mounted edge to edge and creates a beautiful frameless finishes. Each piece is professionally finished with hand-polished edges. We use 4.5mm optically clear, Museum Grade Acrylic which has 99% UV protection. Acrylic is extremely safe to use, as it is shatter resistant and provides exceptional protection from sunlight, weather and temperature extremes. Once hung, your print floats approximately 16mm off the wall. You can be assured that you will receive an absolutely perfect, high-quality finish. The result is truly spectacular.
PRINT ONLY
Of course, you can also select the ‘print only’ option and frame the image as you please. All photos are printed on premium Hahnemuhle Ultra Smooth Photo Rag 305gsm paper giving each image incredible colours and luminosity.
