Erick and Ian Regnard – The creative twin brothers behind the name Tungsten, put together this saucy little video whilst messing around with the HD video capabilities of the Canon 7D. Oh, and they also sent us a few snapshots of the surf too! |
Over the years you may have noticed many photos throughout the pages of Tracks credited with the name Tungsten. Not the work of just one man, but two – Twins Ian and Erick Regnard.
Born and Raised on the island paradise of Mauritius, the twins quickly developed a passion for the ocean and all it entails – a passion that led to them picking up their first camera to document the underwater world surrounding their home.
After migrating to Australia with their family in 1983, the twins have carved a long and distinguished career in photography. Producing some of the most respected and award winning surfing, portrait and lifestyle photography in the world.
That isn’t where the twin’s talents end however. They have an almost superhuman ability to talk beautiful women into posing for photos, often without a stitch of clothing on.
Armed with an infectious lust for life, and a deep, French inflected smooth talk that makes John Laws sound like Fran Drescher, you can understand why these poor women stand little chance against the twin’s charm. And now, with the digital age fusing both still photography and video capabilities into high end cameras, the girls were always going to be in trouble.
Below is a quick snippet of Erick’s work as he follows the lovely Kelly down to the water for a dip. Also included are a few of Erick’s snap shots from Hawaii. Enjoy.
