For recognized surf-shooters and aspiring filmmakers, opportunities to get your work featured and win decent bucks don’t come much better.
Fisherflicks Short Surf Film Festival is a cinematic celebration about 'how surfing positively impacts your life'. Cinematographers are welcome to create and submit their film. Ten of the best films will be shown on then big screen at Towers Cinema in Newcastle, on Friday the 25th August.
On the night of the event the judges (Jacob Wooden, Andrew Mooney and Matt Wilkinson) will announce the top three winners who will have their short film featured on the Tracks website. The winner will receive $5k, along with a featured article in Tracks Magazine. Films have to be between six and seven minutes long and entries close on July 25.

Proceeds from the evening will go to WOW Foundation. A mental health surf therapy charity, committed to changing lives by delivering innovative programs for people experiencing mental health challenges through surfing and saltwater therapy.
