As entries for the MP Classic Cutback Comp continue to roll in, the crew have put together a compilation of some of the best cutback from week three of submissions.
The French alternative craft prince William Aliotti features heavily again in week three. Kobi Clements makes a claim for the best cutback of the week as he looks sharp on his Chilli Surfboard. There’s also some archive footage of a young Taj Burrow whose aggressive and timeless style still resonates today.
Entries close on 24 September and anyone is welcome to get involved, including both filmers and surfers. All you have to do is post a video of your best cutback using the hashtag ‘#mpccc24’ and mention and follow @only_one_mp. Surfers and filmers can submit as many clips as they like and there will be a number of prizes for the winning surfer and filmer, including a replica of the board Michael rode in that iconic shot and various other memorabilia.
It’s now been announced that Balter Brewery on the Gold Coast will play host for the awards night which will be held on 4 October.
