The judges are going to have their work cut out for them in September as entries for the MP Classic Cutback Comp keep coming thick and fast. We’re into week four of the online event which has been filled with footage both old and new.

This week’s compilation of entries includes footage of Hawaiian power houses Andy Irons and Dustin Barca during a time where boards were slightly narrower and boardshorts a little longer. Andy’s brother Bruce rounds off the edit with a huge drawn out roundhouse which we think takes the cake so far.

Entries close on 24 September and anyone is welcome to get involved, including both filmers and surfers. All you have to do is post a video of your best cutback using the hashtag ‘#mpccc24’ and mention and follow @only_one_mp. Surfers and filmers can submit as many clips as they like and there will be a number of prizes for the winning surfer and filmer, including a replica of the board Michael rode in that iconic shot and various other memorabilia.
