During the Surf, Hops and History Festival, hosted by Bennett Surfboards at their newly kitted out warehouse in Brookvale on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Tracks celebrated 600 issues of the mag by hosting a day of live music, hand shaping demos, beers and a panel talk.
The surf media panel talk was used to discuss the current surf media landscape. Guest speakers included famous surf writer Phil Jarratt, Tracks Editor Luke Kennedy, Tracks Digital Editor Jake Stolte and women’s surf writer and sports journalist Kate Allman.
The crew discussed a range of topic such as women’s surfing, the importance of digital, the history of Tracks, favourite stories from down the years and more.
