The twin fin fish is arguably the most in demand board on the market, and has been for a number of years. Its versatility caters to every level of surfer and there seems to be a constant drive to add a modern spin onto one of surfing’s most classic outlines. The alternative craft charge is very much being driven by one of surfing’s most stylish outfits; Mikey February. The South African oozes class and is constantly trying to push the boundaries of what was previously thought as possible when it comes to surfing twin fin’s in bigger waves.
Mikey’s latest venture with Channel Islands Surfboards is ‘Feb’s fish’ which sees Mikey and Britt take the classic outline of a fish and pair it with a modern template in order to allow for the highest performance possible.
The crew at Onboard Store have teamed up with former World Champ Tom Carroll, as part of their ongoing YouTube series ‘What’s Going On?’, to review Mikey’s latest model.
TC and Luca Elder put the fish through its paces in some Sydney summer slop and it’s safe to say, that at 63, Tom is looking as loose as ever.
