There’s few better zones in the world than Hossegor when it’s on. It’s beach break tube heaven and there’s something for everyone. Last week the epicenter of French surfing turned it on for anyone in attendance. Some went as far as calling it the best in a decade.
While we’ll let you be the judge of that, there’s no denying that it was cooking. Glassy and open sand bottom barrels which look incredibly inviting. So often it can feel like chasing the dragon at spots like this. Shifting banks and currents actually make it look a lot harder than it is. But, on this day, there was no doubt that it was all time.
The likes of Joan Duru, Kyllian Guerin, Sam Piter and Kevin Olsen were all on hand to make the most of it.
