Three months ago when a similar sized swell hit the East Coast of Australia, South Narrabeen had been half jokingly/half seriously dubbed ‘Sydney’s answer to Pipeline’ on social media, after a clip of Kobi Clements rifling his way through a throaty backhand keg went viral on Instagram.
Once again, in similar vein, Kobi was the standout last week when ‘Southy’ was on the cook. Whether you want to compare it to Pipeline, or draw similarities to a pumping French beachie, one thing is for sure; it was going off.
Local filmer Cal Fawle aka Thrills N Spillz was on hand to capture the session which featured a number of young local chargers including Kobi, Saxon Reber, Jasper Welsh, Arch Whiteman, Matt Chojnacki, Gor Ozharovsky and Toy Tanaka.
