The surf world doesn’t stand still for long. Trends come and go, brands rise or fall and everyone’s chasing the next thing. Amid all that noise, Ritual Vision has spent the past 18 months doing something refreshingly simple: making a surf film and touring it across the world.
The eyewear label launched in late 2024 with a stacked cast that included Noa Deane, Mikey Wright, Harry Bryant and filmmaker Wade Carroll. As well as Dion Agius who has helped lead the creative direction of Ritual. The idea was straightforward enough – build a brand around surfing, then funnel energy back into the films and projects that inspire people to surf in the first place.

Since then, Ritual has expanded its team, sold through multiple rounds of stock and added names like Holly Wawn, Milla Coco Brown, Parker Coffin and Mason Ho to the mix. But from the outset, the films were always meant to be the main event.
Now comes Ritualistic Tendencies.

Shot over an 18-month period in places including Indo, Puerto Rico, Mexico and Morocco, the film brings together Ritual’s eclectic cast of surfers and personalities, blending raw performances, travel, friendship and the kind of surfing that doesn’t fit neatly into contest jerseys or social media trends. It’s a reminder that, despite all the changes around surfing, a good surf film still hits differently.
And thankfully, Ritualistic Tendencies is every bit as good, raw, entertaining and full throttle as you hoped.
