WATCH: RIO WAIDA LIGHTING-UP AT HOME IN BALI

An insight into life on the 'Island of the Gods' by one of its rising stars.

Rio Waida is the very embodiment of how far Balinese surfing has come. It wasn’t long ago that Indonesian surfers only dreamed of having a representative competing on the tour, and Rio 9th place finish at the Corona Open Mexico (via a wildcard slot), shows that he possesses not only the talent to qualify for the tour but to also make some waves when he does.

Here, Rio delivers insight into his home of Bali and how he views his life on the Island of the Gods. And it’s all set to some mind-blowing surfing by Rio at almost every iconic location on the Island.
