The Mexican Pipeline has come alive so far this month. Puerto Escondido has been on the cook for days on end with conditions ranging from overhead barrels to XL shorebreak caverns.
Amongst the expected busy crowd of local surfers, bodyboarders and a stand-up paddleboarder, there was also a number of international chargers including Greg Long, who is notorious for being one of the best out at Puerto and once again proved that by scoring the biggest and best wave of the swell.
Two lifeguards from Sydney’s Northern Beaches were also in the mix during their maiden Mexico adventure. Sam Partington and Jasper Giddy have been on a different kind of bender to the one you’d expect most holidaymakers in Mexico to be experiencing. Rather than going to bed at 5.30am, they’ve been getting up before sunrise each morning to score what they called ‘the waves of their life’. You can read more about their first experience of the Mexican Pipeline here.
Greg, Sam and Jasper all feature in the above clip which is a roundup of the best waves and wipeouts from the swell so far. Click the link above for 45 minutes of chaos.
