Noa Deane seems to be on a never ending run of dropping A1 surf projects. From the likes of his feature length films Horse, Mash, Munch, Nozvid to his starring roles in Rage 5 and Snapt5. While his latest offering ‘Stimulant’ has just finished touring the big screen in Australia and is expected to be release online in the near future, he’s doubled down and posted a 16 minute edit titled ‘Island Fever’, which is from his last stint in Hawaii. Noz is on a generational run and may just be the hardest working free surfer on the planet.
Many would see a single feature length film as the crescendo of their surfing career’s, but for Noa he seems to produce one every year or to. It’s not like each offering is watered down in quality and produced just to appease the social media algorithm either. Every project Noz puts out will have you making the most dramatic interjections at your screen.
Whether he’s launching himself above a section most of the surfing population wouldn’t poke with a shitty stick, or hucking himself over the ledge at some death defying slab, you can guarantee Noz will always bring the heat. Pair that with his varied song choice of death metal from Peeling Flesh or an ambient beat from Russell W and you get an edit which is worth locking in for.
