When you think of surfing in Morocco, your instant thought is endless walls and right hand point breaks. Because, lets face it, that’s all surfers visit the North African country for. Oh, and the endless amount of delicious tagine.
However, the goofy-footers reading this will be pleased to know there are lefts in the land of rights. As evidenced in Mikey February’s new edit ‘Morocco (Side B)’ which sees the ever-stylish South African take on a wedgy river mouth left. You could consider such a wave in Morocco a novelty.
The edit follows his ‘Morocco (Side A)’ clip which was released last week and is more typical of what you’d expect from a Moroccan surf edit.
To compliment Mikey’s graceful style are songs from Ethiopian keyboard player Hailu Mergia, a fitting match given the pair’s African roots.
