When Backdoor comes to mind, thoughts of rogue rocks, a dangerously shallow reef shelf and closeouts that will send you into oblivion are what would typically come to mind, but Backdoor looked slightly different on this session. Sure, it is enough to raise the heart rate of most of us and probably still have us questioning whether or not we would give it a crack, but this is as close to fun as the fabled reef gets for us average joes. As expected, Mason and his local mates surf it with unmatched expertise.
