For most, backwash will ruin the perfect wave. It will throw you off your bottom turns, buck you out of the tube or flick you straight off before you’ve even had a chance to get to your feet.
Mason and Sheldon don’t look at backwash under the same lens as us. in fact, it seems as though they seek backwash filled waves out and turn lemons into lemonade.
