With the 2024 Indo dry season firmly in the rear view mirror, it’s an opportunity to reflect on just how pumping this year was and what better way to do that than through a new Mason Ho film.
Mase and filmer Rory Pringle have put together a 22 minute clip featuring a number of the Hawaiians best sessions during his lengthy spell in Indo. The standout moments include his entry into the Rip Curl Padang Padang Cup that featured a star studded lineup of heavyweight surfers and was eventually won by Noa Deane. As well as a number of sessions at Desert Point with Clay Marzo and Harry Bryant.
Here’s what Mase and Rory had to say about ‘IND HO NESIA’:
“For the last few years we have made our trek from one paradise to another, Hawaii to Indonesia. Sometimes for a few weeks, sometimes for a few months. As the world evolves these two surf sanctuaries are always changing. One thing we’ve noticed that stays consistent is the beautiful waves and classic Surfers you bump into. IND HO NESIA is a tiny taste of our 2024 journey. Mostly surfing, trying to find fun waves and bumping into good friends along the way.”
While the surfing throughout the film is A grade, Mase and Rory admitted that the A++ clips are being shelved and saved for Mase’s upcoming part in Snapt 5.
