Kai Lenny continues to prove that he’s capable of anything on any water related type of craft. We’ve seen him do backflips at Nazare, ride different boards at Jaws and his latest trick is packing pumping tubes switch stance.
Kai recently spent some time on a boat trip through the Ments and managed to score uncrowded Greenbush, which is one of the most sort after waves in Indo, while riding each wave switch.
Here’s what he had to say:
“We went straight to Greenbush, it was pumping. We timed it perfect, the swell was picking up. I’ve been wanting to practice going goofy-foot more just to keep it interesting versus just doing my normal stance all the time. Here was an opportunity to be in really good waves getting barreled switch-foot and so the whole time I was just focused on trying to get as barreled as I could before everyone came out and I think it was like four hours later I was joined by a few people. It was like one of the top sessions I’ve ever had in barreling surf. Pinching myself, it was unreal.”
