Kael Walsh is the definition of ‘go big or go home’. Big tubes, big airs, big hacks, Kael is all round BIG energy. His upbringing in Yallingup, WA, surrounded by a plethora of heavy slabs, may have contributed to his ‘go for broke’ attitude. This mindset seems to carry across into anything the 26-year-old does. His latest project ‘Strung’ is once again evidence of his willingness to put in the time, effort and money to produce one of the best surf edits currently out there.

‘Strung’ was filmed over two and a half years at a total cost of close to $100,000 AUD. The 15 minute flick features strictly A++ clips from South Africa, Namibia, Indo, West Oz and P-Pass. In the current social media era of short attention spans and a constant demand for content, Kael is one of the few who is happy to dig his heels in and save his work for a long term goal.

Strung isn’t Kael’s first body of work which will have you making interjections at your computer screen. His previous edits ‘Idiot Box’ and ‘Soft serve’ have also featured the full throttle surfing we have become accustom to seeing from him.
