Julian Wilson could’ve surfed off into the sunset years ago. Jules left the CT in 2021 and had pockets full of cash stacked from his contracts with the likes of Hurley and Red Bull. Instead, like most professional surfers who can’t sit still in his retirement, he started his own brand – Rivvia Projects – and had a brief crack at getting back on tour.
While Jules hit the breaks again on his own competitive hopes, he’s helping nurture the aspirations of a number of young stars through the Rivvia team. Mateus Herdy, Caden Francis, Caleb Tancred and Benny Lorentson are all on the roster and are making positive steps on the WSL ladder.

The Rivvia crew have just dropped volume two of the ‘VV tapes’ series and it features eight days of surfing from Straddie to Yamba as they tour the East Coast. Good surfing, average conditions, little waste.
