Throughout his surfing career Jordy Lawler has generally stuck to the high performance thruster as he continually tries to make the push up the competitive surfing ladder and onto the WSL CT. We’re very much used to seeing the North Narrabeen local take three fins to the air or above the lip.
However, Jordy’s latest edit, filmed and edited by Andrew Christie, sees him switch up his usual Timmy Paterson thrusters for a twin fin, from the same shaper. It’s a great option for Australian summer on the East Coast when the waves can get a bit gutless. As evidenced by the clips, Jordy absolutely rips on a twin fin and looks free flowing and stylish.
In a recent Insta post, Jordy wrote ‘I can’t get off this board! Love the feeling of a twinny’. I don’t think anyone would complain if we see more of Jordy on alternative craft.
