‘You got to pay to play’ is a statement that stands up for every surfer. Especially when it comes to getting tubed. One surfer who knows that more than most is Soli Bailey. The Australian was considered one of the most tubed surfers of 2024 and then spent most of 2025 on the sidelines with a serious neck injury.
While that stands as his most severe, he’s had countless other incidents which have left him high and dry. Some of those have come at the hands of Greenbush – one of Indo’s most gnarly left hand tubes.
“It starts as a typical Indo reef barrel then goes into this heavy detonating slab that you’d expect to see on the South Coast of Australia,” said Soli.
His latest edit takes a deep dive into his four injuries he’s had from his four boat trips to that zone. A blown back, concussion and reef gauges – Soli has certainly paid his taxes out there.
