WATCH: ‘FORM’, JOHN JOHN’S ODE TO PIPELINE

A visual history of the fabled wave.

Where would the surf world be without Pipeline? Would we have the Gerry Lopez’s and the Jamie O’Briens? The Derek Ho’s and the Mason Ho’s? The Irons brothers or the Florence brothers? Indeed, they’d still be there, conquering at other waves but would their surfing be as impactful without the dominance and the comparison that ruling Pipeline allows? Probably not.

John John knows this, and he has just made it somewhat public with his new short film on Pipeline. The cinematically stunning short film features Pipeline’s most dominant modern riders and paints a vivid picture of the wave’s allure.
