Last week Sydney was hit with a solid XL winter swell which left most of its beaches closing out and looking uninviting. However, one particular slab known as Deadmans lit up during the peak of the swell which people had dubbed ‘big Wednesday’.
By now you will have seen numerous clips and stills of the sessions that went down at the aptly named wave, whose step in the face was creating carnage all day long.
There was a strong crew of locals sending it throughout the day, as well as others who had made the journey from different parts of Sydney. From further afield Hawaiian charger and Pipe specialist Koa Rothman was also on hand to have a crack at the wave.
