WATCH: BIG WAVE BOMMIE SESSION DOWN SOUTH

No wonder why the locals want to keep this perfect left to themselves!

The swell was firing on the East Coast of Australia throughout the long weekend. A highlight of the pumping sessions was at a secret spot on the South Coast of New South Wales.

We were told not to disclose the location of the wave. Locals want to keep this perfect left to themselves, which is fair enough! No shortboards were used, only guns and longboards were out for a proper big-wave session. Newcastle local Ryan Callinan was having a field day standing up tall in multiple barrels, surfing the spot like a true pro. Other surfers from the session didn’t have as much success as Callinan, with some serious wipe-outs suffered.

Ride of the session goes to South Coast local Jordy Fowler who paddled into a double overhead wave, nearly fell on the take-off, recovered on his back hand , got completely drained and came out with the spit. It’s the first wave of the clip.

Enjoy!
