WATCH: AN EARLY SEASON BACKDOOR SUPERSESSION WITH MASON HO, COCO HO AND THE RIPCURL TEAM

It's nearly that time on the North Shore

The North Shore’s getting some swell to kick off their season, and the Ho’s are there to sample the fun. Early season sand makes for a slightly funkier backdoor, with more closeouts and wobble than usual. However, the added sand somehow makes the wave looks less dangerous and a little more playful, more like a good beach break than the treacherous wave we know backdoor to be.

Filmed and edited by Rory Pringle.
