You know you’ve pulled off a successful night when your phone is blowing up with requests to be let into the party and people are literally climbing the walls trying to get in. For the third consecutive year our pilgrimage down to Bells to host the Tracks Party at the Torquay Surf Lifesaving Club was a sell out. Hundreds of you, starved from a lack of WSL CT action on Easter Friday, hit the dance floor and let loose. The view from the balcony of the SLSC showed the carnage below. Mosh Pits, dancing, people hoisted on shoulders to get a look in on the action – it was a night where we once again put the fun back into surfing.
If you didn’t get in on the action down in Vicco, then fear not, we will be hitting the road next month for another evening of carnage on the Gold Coast. Beddy Rays will be headlining the show again, which will take place at the Coolangatta Hotel on Friday 1 May. They will be supported by grunge outfit Headsend, which is made up of surfing rockstar double act Kyuss and Rasmus King, as well as their talented drummer Bon. Mac The Knife and Loose Goose will also play on the night which kicks off at 7pm.
A massive shoutout to our bands on the night in Torquay – Beddy Rays, Mannequin Death Squad, Des Cortez, Sargeant Baker and DJ Eddy. As well as our partners Casa, Blackmans Brewery and Rip Curl.
Tickets for our Cooly show are now live. Click here to purchase. While we wait to party with you all again, check out some of our favourite moments from Friday night, shot by Kate Shearer.
