WATCH: The finale of Mason’s Medieval Madness

The “Indiana Jones of surfing.”

In the final instalment of the ‘Search’ Mason returns to the slab he first surfed without cameras ten years ago, with legends Sunny Garcia and Chris Ward.

The years of practice riding remote slabs around the North Shore in the winter period to avoid huge crowds have paid off. He has become one of the best at the niche of slab riding.

There is a reason why he’s beloved by all generations. His child-like wonder of surfing and his old soul, always showing love for 60/70’s music and retro boards in his videos.

How he managed not to smash his board is probably the most miraculous thing from the finale. The clip is a great plug for Lost Surfboards, if the board isn’t gonna snap on this shallow slab, it’ll be good for eternity at your local beach break.

A YouTube comment too good not to steal “he’s the Indiana Jones of surfing”. It’s fitting of the eccentric Hawaiian and his travels on the Search.

Enjoy!
