If you’re familiar with the set-up at North Narrabeen, then you’ll almost certainly know Carpark Rights, a fickle piece of sand straight out in front of the carpark that is more often than not a bone-shattering closeout, usually reserved for those not willing to battle the pack on the main peak.
However, every dog has its day, and occasionally the sand at Carpark Rights settles in just the right fashion to turn the closeouts into something pretty damn special.
