For the first time since 2019, the world’s best surfers are competing out at the Box. The gnarly right hand slab has come to life and the WSL has made the decision to move the men’s round of 16 from main break at Margaret River just across the channel to the short and sharp right hander.
The call was made after a clip of Jack Robinson pulling into a deep and scary looking cavern this morning did the rounds on social media. Unfortunately for Jack, he was defeated by Imaikalani deVault in the last heat of the day on Tuesday and won’t get the chance to don the rashie at a wave he is considered a master of.
Another competitor whose got this wave dialed is Griffin Colapinto who justified the WSL’s call to run out there this morning with a 16.00 point heat total.
