The Tracks Party Tour, powered by Casa, rolled into the steel city last weekend with homecoming headliners Rum Jungle stealing the show in front of a sold out Newcastle crowd. While Ryan Callinan gave the locals something to cheer about in the water, with his semi-final finish at the Newcastle Surfest Challenger Series event, the Rum Jungle boys gave the Novacastrians a reason to celebrate long into the night with their first performance at home in over a year.
Rum Jungle were supported by metal and grunge outfit Headsend, made up of pro surfing brother Kyuss and Rasmus King, as well as their nan’s neighbour Bon. Kyuss balanced his gig time with competing in the Newcastle Surfest CS event and his performance on stage was a hit with his fellow CS competitors who all piled into the Beach Hotel for a night of shenanigans. As well as Big Wheels and Nana Klumpp.
A massive thank you to our sponsors on the night CASA, Rip Curl, Yeti, Burzerk, Surfers for Climate and Travla.
After six sell out stops on this year’s Tracks Party Tour so far, we’re going to be taking a small hiatus over the winter to rest and recharge our dancing feet. However, we will return with shows in September and November at Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay respectively. We’ll have more info on those in the coming weeks.
