Dorian’s Second Consecutive Maldivian Twin Win

The Hawaiian takes out the Twin Fin division at the 2016 Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy for the second time.

Shane Dorian, is there anything the man can’t do? He dominated the high performance game through the 90’s as the punkest member of the Momentum Generation. Before turning his attention to big waves – beginning as a Teahupoo charger and morphing into (in our eyes), the best big wave surfer in the world – have you seen those drops at Jaws!?

It now seems Shane can now add another feather to his surfing cap – the best twin-fin surfer on the planet. The Hawaiian just took out the Twin Fin Division of the Four Seasons Maldives Surfing Champions Trophy for the second year in a row.

"I'm so stoked to be back here in this beautiful place," Dorian said. "Surfing with all these guys is so sick, I'm just having a blast. That board had not felt good in any surf until my first heat and then it all just started to click, which was lucky.”

Even more amazing was that bested Taj Burrow, Rob Machado, Jamie O’Brien and Bethany Hamilton among others to do so.
