The Australian Federal Election kicks off this weekend and the Swellians are encouraging people to vote with their heads and not be apathetic or lazy with their choices. Vaughan Blakey and Jed Smith have released a YouTube series that looks into particular electoral divisions that feature strong surfing communities, with episodes currently available on Cowper, Mackellar and McPherson.
While each episode holds some comedic value, VB and Jed are clearly aiming to encourage the younger demographic not to waste their vote and introduce them to the world of politics in a way that isn’t drier than the Sahara Desert.
