After putting in a few hours at the Mexican restaurant he co-owns with some fellow Narrabeen locals [Mexicano], the 2011 ASP World Masters Champion crossed the car park to discover that his beloved home break was under attack from an unforeseen four-to-six foot afternoon pulse of perfection. Within minutes, Noodles, was in his wetsuit and getting the kind of waves Mexico – in particular Puerto Escondido – is famous for. Ah, Winter on the East coast of Australia, the secret stays safe. Warm air, clear skies, cool water and for people like Noodles and his hombre’s, smooth silky afternoon pits at places like Puerto Esco Narrabeen.
